Flexible flaps - Made of Bayer's® exclusive Makrolon material, Dogwalk's flexible flaps are durable and safe. The rigid flaps you'll see in other dog doors are not only prone to break easily, but they also pose an injury risk to your pet and to small children. These Bayer® flaps will maintain their shape in extreme heat or cold, and the superior quality Makrolon is incredibly difficult to puncture, rip, or tear. Security panel - The composite security panel is made of a CLASS 1 (BS476) thermoplastic-polyethylene core, sandwiched between two aluminum alloy sheets through a continuous heat-and-pressure process using lamination adhesive foil. This material, used primarily for the cladding of buildings, is extremely rigid...almost unbreakable. The security panel is aluminum (metallic grey) on one side and white on the other, enabling you to match the color of the pet door you choose. The panel locks in place with an easy swing-over metal arm mounted to the frame.
